"Let's Watch The World Spinning, Gently Out Of Time..."

I have had THE BEST WEEK EVER!!!

Just to let you know, like...

Upcoming gigs:
Biffy Clyro - Perth - 29th April (Planned since before Christmas)

Here come the big ones...
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE - London (Finsbury Park) - 6th June
PEARL JAM - London (Hyde Park) - 25th June

Yeah, so I've had a fairly eventful week, with Kirstie getting me the Pearl Jam tickets as an early 19th birthday present (for which, I thank you once again), and Fraz getting the Rage tickets after quite a wait, and for that as well, cheers!

The music wall's coming along nicely, as well, with a couple of new songs added, plus a new poster, which I'll get to in a minute.

The poster was part of my DVD purchasing spree on Monday, having bought Up (Pixar's near finest...), Adventureland (Jesse Eisenberg - one to watch), and Blur's documentary/live DVD, No Distance Left To Run. Which included A FREE POSTER! It's a tiny poster, but it fits nicely on the wall, around the Springsteen cutout, my gig tickets and the Yellow Submarine.

I found the I'm Not There soundtrack album on Spotify - The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll is my new favourite Dylan song. Also going up on the wall.

Darren out, saying you who philosophize, disgrace and criticize all fears, bury the rag deep in your face, for now's the time for your tears...

Eddie Vedder Covers The Beatles and The Lyric Hall of Fame

Watch and thank me for showing you possibly the best live cover of a song I've ever heard. If you find a better one, let me know. That's that the comment box is for!

Eddie Vedder really is one of the best singers of all time. Not in a Chris Cornell/Michael Jackson type of way, but his voice is just amazing.

I also have a new self-made addition to my room, my own personal Hall of Fame. Basically, all I've done is write down the lyrics to my favourite songs on the wall. Doesn't sound like much, but I like it. On the left are the lyrics, but on the right are my gig tickets, a Springsteen advert for Hampden that was in the paper, and the awesome Yellow Submarine collage that Kirst made me (once again, ta!) I'm planning on having most of the wall covered...

I'll tell you what's on each sheet, just in case you can't read it, so from top left, we have:

Joy Division - Disorder
The Beatles - A Day In The Life
David Bowie - Sound And Vision
The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop
Franz Ferdinand - Walk Away
The Doors - People Are Strange
Vampire Weekend - A-Punk
The Smiths - Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want
The Beatles - You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
Cream - I Feel Free

I'm in the middle of writing a few more, I'll show them later on, once they're done.

And to finish off, here's that wonderful sub again!

Darren out, saying I can walk down the street, there's no-one there, though the pavements are one huge crowd...
